Who We Are & What We Do…
Are you are looking for a holistic practitioner - one who knows you are more than just a body of symptoms? Or perhaps you need a full alternative medicine or detoxification clinic in the Marietta (Metropolitan Atlanta) area? Maybe you’re just curious to learn why your body behaves the way it does. If so, you are definitely in the right place. Even if you are not local, we work with many people by telephone consultation. In addition, we have numerous health & wellness products that can make a drastic improvement in your natural approach to health.
Most people do not realize that the original role of “Doctor” was as teacher. Allopathic Doctors, while they certainly have their roles, do not study nutrition and healthful ways. They study disease, sickness, diagnosis, pharmacology, and surgical procedures. Of course these are greatly needed. However, they do not make a person well, better nourished, balanced, happy, or better able to handle stress etc.
We invite you to subscribe to our site to further your education on natural health and Alternative Medicine. Whenever possible, we like to use different media especially audios & videos to make your learning experience more enjoyable. Also, we’d like to encourage our clients and visitors to leave comments - Maybe things you’ve learned on your own healing journeys. Our Beliefs About Holistic Natural Medicine
- We were not born with spare parts. Every organ and system in the body has a purpose and should be protected, supported and nourished whenever possible.
- The only thing that “cures” is the body itself. This will only be accomplished by supporting our own natural detoxification, eliminative, restoration & rebuilding processes. A big part of it requires proper whole foods nutrition, supporting digestion and improving eliminative function.
- There is a reason for everything the body does. Usually it is just making due with a lack of resources or its toxic environment.
- All systems are something to be supported and nourished - not stimulated and definitely not suppressed.
- There is more “health” to be had in the produce isle than the pharmacy!
- Your symptoms are a clue no matter how bizarre or how unlikely - They are real. It is our job to determine what they mean & convey their meaning to you in a way you understand.
- We will never recommend or knowingly sell a product or provide a service that we think will be inappropriate, less effective than something else or where compliance will be unlikely.
- There are 2 distinct systems that govern the body. These are the biochemical and bio-energetic systems. We wholeheartedly believe these must both be operating correctly for there to be lasting health. Many people never reach true wellness because they only focus on the biochemical side or bio-energetic side, exclusively. We have numerous products and ways to support both sides of the body. We have tailored this website around this concept.

About Our Director, Dr. Darla M Birchall, DSc, ND
Dr. Darla M. Birchall has worked in and studied the medical and health fields for over 18 + years. At 18 she began in traditional medicine by attending medical assisting school and received state certification in Georgia for medical assisting (although no longer certified). She holds a BS in Nutritional Sciences, a Masters in Business Administration, a Doctor of Science in Natural Health all from Rochville University. She recently obtained her Doctor of Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional and has been Board Certified by both The American Alternative Medical Association and The American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Currently, she is one of the only Certified NES Practitioners in Georgia. Additionally, she has been Certified in Colon Hydrotherapy by the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT).
Darla is a lover of all things science and dedicated toward furthering her knowledge base. She often jokes (or perhaps is serious if she can find the time) that her next doctorate will be a PhD in Physics. Often you can hear her say “I don’t yet know what I don’t know”. Her heart is in research and “proving the improbable or inconceivable”. Lastly, her favorite quote is…”Those who are not shocked when they first come across quantum mechanics cannot possibly have understood it.” by Niels Henrik David Bohr (1885-1962) a Danish physicist.
What Dr. Birchall is not… a licensed Medical Doctor, Physician, or Naturopathic Medical Doctor (AKA Naturopathic Physician) or Doctor of Chiropractic. Darla is a true Traditional Naturopath and believes that drugs & surgery should be a “last resort” and not the first “solution” people seek.
However, to-date her highest achievement has to be as founder and developer of the BioEnergetic Identification Reset Technique (BIRT) protocol. It was born out of her passion for solving the puzzles of Autism in her daughter Hannah. Now it is for helping other mothers do the same.
InternaPure’s Office Policies
I am aware that this facility does not accept insurance and expects payment at the time services are rendered. Services may be reimbursable under a Flexible Spending Account, Cafeteria Plan, or Health Savings Accounts. You may want to check with your benefits administrator for details and requirements. I understand there is a 24 hour cancellation notice policy. Furthermore, that I will be charged $50 or the amount of the scheduled service if it is less than $50, should I fail to provide such notice. I understand these policies are subject to change without further notice.
New client telephone consults are pre-paid. Weekend clinic appointments are now pre-paid only. We recently had to implement this policy for no-call and no-shows. Please help us from having to implement pre-pay only for all services by providing 24 hour notice of changes or cancelations. We realize life throws unexpected events our way so we reserve the right to waive the cancellation fee if circumstances warrant it. However, we are single mothers who may need to arrange childcare to accommodate clients so please be respectful. Thanks so much for your help in this area!
We will provide product refunds on unopened products purchased within the last 60 days. Returned products need to be in saleable condition.
Informed Consent
I understand and consent that I will not be receiving a medical diagnosis or medical treatments at this facility. I am fully aware that the director of this facility is a Traditional Naturopath, Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, researcher and BioEnergetic Healer. She does not hold a medical license, and that Georgia does not currently offer nor require licensure for Naturopaths.
Any homeopathic remedies, supplements, or herbal products discussed during my visits, sessions, seminars, or consultations are not prescription drugs used to treat or cure a specific disease or illness and are offered only as a convenience to me. I understand that the product lines available at this facility are only offered through professional healthcare practitioners so I may be unable to purchase the identical products. However, I am always free to purchase equivalent supplements at my local health food store, herb shop or online.
I have been made aware that the BioEnergetic, colonic and detoxification treatments have not been thoroughly studied, researched and proven to treat or cure any disease, illness or condition. No guarantees or promises have been made as to the outcome of my health status or the amount of time it may take to reach my health and nutritional goals.
The Colon Hydrotherapy device used in this facility is a FDA Registered Class I, non-medical / non-prescriptive gravity device. I understand that Colon Hydrotherapy is a self-administered procedure where I, as the user, am solely responsible for my own actions and release liability regarding my health. I have the choice to make my colonic session completely private but will have immediate access to my therapist at all times. Furthermore, I accept the responsibility for self-insertion of the rectal tube. Insertion of the rectal tube at this facility by a therapist is strictly forbidden. I am aware that the professionals at this facility aren’t physicians even though they may wear scrubs or lab coats to protect clothing. Therefore, they do not insert, diagnose, or prescribe. I am aware that adverse events and illness have been alleged and claimed with the use of colon irrigation and enema devices. I agree that if I experience any resistance during the insertion of the rectal tube, I will stop immediately and notify my therapist. If I experience excessive discomfort, cramping, pain, nausea or vomiting, I am responsible for notifying my therapist and stopping my own session.
Further, I agree that I will not attempt to schedule appointments for colon hydrotherapy unless or until I have a prescription on file from my medical doctor, if I have been diagnosed with any potential contraindications. Additionally, I will not schedule any footbath appointments if I am pregnant, may be pregnant, or nursing, have a pace maker, or other electronic implant device, or have a transplanted organ.
This facility does not claim to cure or treat any condition or disease. So please do not ask your therapist what is in your footbaths or in your feces. Without formal testing and quantitative analysis one could only speculate. Any lab tests, analysis or screenings done at our facility are not traditional clinical or medical tests used for the sake of diagnosis but rather are an evaluation of potential weakness or stress areas to the body.
