Aura Patches To Consider in Cases of Autism

Autism is such a multi-dimensional disorder.  Many times it can have numerous contributing factors.  I personally do not feel like the standard aura patch therapy will support them all.  I work with a number of children somewhere on the spectrum. Or ones that perhaps could be.  Some times the parents notice symptoms, but they haven’t gotten (or don’t want) a formal diagnosis.  However, working with my own daughter using Aura Patch Therapy has given me some great insight.  Knowing what patches I would have used way back when if I had them available to me at the time.

Here are some of my thoughts about patches that may be appropriate in certain cases…

Does your child…

• Have a history of acid reflux?
• Wake in the middle of the night screaming or crying as if in pain?

Then you may want to look at information about the digestive comfort patch.

One of the primary contributing factors in autism is malnourishment or maldigestion due to food allergies or sensitivities.  Frequently, there are environmental or seasonal allergies as well.  The Seasonal Best is the aura patch to address these food allergies in autism.

If you notice your autistic child getting worse if it has been too long since they have eaten.  Or if you know there are issues with hypoglycemia, then you may want to get further educated on the Enzymes DB patch.  A seizure disorder could be a sign of hypoglycemia.  This patch also supports digestive enzyme activity which is so important for their unique digestive challenges.

Frequently the sleep cycles or circadian rhythms go haywire in children with autism.  When this is a factor, then the bedtime patch may help to re-establish these as the natural melatonin production increases.

My Preferred Aura Patch Protocol For Autism

Sometimes it can be very challenging to put together the most effective protocol using only 3 patches (or bedtime making a 4th).  However, the following is my preferred protocol for handling the unique needs of those with autism…

Supporting autistic kids’ stress handling and chronic anxiety is crucial.  If you live with a child with autism, you know all too well how frequently even little unexpected things can send them over the edge!  This can be absolutely heartbreaking for a parent - …Ask me how I know.  This brings me to my favorite patch (for almost everyone) but especially for our special children.  This is the Stress Less Aura Patch.  I can’t tell you how much peace I’ve seen this one patch restore to peoples homes.  It is my understanding that some of the frequencies are contained in the Children’s Mental Focus Patch.  However, in my own experience it isn’t enough especially during times of die-off, detox reactions or during cold & flu season.

Then there is the much needed brain, neurological and cognitive support.  When the children are verbal they usually express how the Children’s Mental Focus Patch helps them “think better”.  I had an older ADHD child tell his mother that it was “the best my brain has worked in forever” and that he “felt like himself again”.

You may find this as interesting as I do…  Every child who is autistic or ADD / ADHD that I have done a NES Scan on, has scanned weak (orange or red) for the ET-0 / energetic terrain - 0.  This is a viral family which hosts on & weakens the Central Nervous System.  These seem to correlate very nicely and is a third party confirmation of each others work arrived at independently.

For my third patch I recommend every other patch swapping between the anti-parasitic and the organ cleanse which is for environmental and heavy metal detox.

Frequently when there are known issues with yeast & fungus, I will rotate the parasite patch with the candida patch.  However, that is only after being on the parasite patch for a while.  It is the most comprehensive microbe patch and will help rid more strains.

Microbes can infect each other so it makes sense to try to destroy them in a biggest to smaller fashion when possible.  If we were to do that in the context of aura patches it would go…

What the body takes in as nutrition it first tries to use.  If it can’t, it will lose it as waste.  When it can’t rid the waste either because the eliminative pathways are congested or an impaired ability to detoxify, it will have no choice but to store it.  Water-soluble toxins like acids will get stored in watery tissues and fat-soluble toxins like heavy metals will get stored in fatty tissues.  This is why children are so sensitive to heavy metals.  If the body doesn’t have enough watery or fatty tissues, it will make these to protect against toxicity.

Also, noted is impairment in my ability to metabolize and assimilate fats.  This will take a toll on the liver and add to toxicity and overall fat.

Lastly seen was the challenge to regulate pH.  This is expressed through a weakened calcium absorption noted in the Vitamin D-Receptor.  Numerous studies are proving how important calcium is for digestive health and more recently to maintain a healthy weight.  The Dairy industry has even implemented the “Milk your diet slogan”.

However, I think the biggest reason for my quick and significant loss came about through the added support to…  This gene…  Aldosterone is responsible for electrolyte balance and recycling and water regulation.  This would also greatly effect my ability to regulate water.  Most of the weight I couldn’t shed was sheer water weight.

Based on my genetics flaws one might expect to have difficulties with pH regulation, hormonal imbalances, extreme toxicity and oxidative stress, and impaired calcium absorption which I have had all of these in spite of a healthy diet and years of detoxification efforts.

As a researcher, I don’t like to make claims that I haven’t thoroughly investigated or proven myself. To really determine what is actually getting pulled out in your particular case, you would have to do a controlled quantitative analysis of each individual element versus a control of plain water run for the same length of time. However, most people just choose to focus on how they “feel” following the foot bath rather than try to determine exactly what is contained in the foot bath water after the cleanse. There is really no good way to evaluate the energetic effects on our bodies. Perhaps the manufacturer says it best… “The changing of the water color is not the real issue but rather it is the effect the energy has on the cellular level and the bio-energy field.”

The photos to the right are from an exploratory pilot study of mine using Dried Blood Cell Analysis just before an ionic footbath and just after. Penn study finds link between Parkinson’s disease genes and manganese poisoning

PHILADELPHIA A connection between genetic and environmental causes of Parkinson’s disease has been discovered by a research team led by Aaron D. Gitler, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Gitler and colleagues found a genetic interaction between two Parkinson’s disease genes (alpha-synuclein and PARK9) and determined that the PARK9 protein can protect cells from manganese poisoning, which is an environmental risk factor for a Parkinson’s disease-like syndrome. The findings appear online this week in Nature Genetics.

Manganism, or manganese poisoning, is prevalent in such occupations as mining, welding, and steel manufacturing. It is caused by exposure to excessive levels of the metal manganese, which attacks the central nervous system, producing motor and dementia symptoms that resemble Parkinson’s disease.

In Parkinson’s patients, the alpha-synuclein protein normally found in the brain misfolds, forming clumps. Yeast cells, the model system in which Gitler studies disease proteins, also form clumps and die when this protein is expressed at high levels. These are the same yeast cells that bakers and brewers use to make bread, beer, and wine.

As a postdoctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Gitler and colleagues started looking for genes that could prevent the cell death caused by mis-folded alpha-synuclein in yeast. Eventually they found a few genes to test in animal models and some were able to protect neurons from the toxic effects of alpha-synuclein. “One of the genes that we found was a previously uncharacterized yeast gene called YOR291W. No one knew what it did back in 2006,” he recalls.

In the meantime, researchers in Europe published studies about a family that had an early-onset form of a type of Parkinson’s disease caused by mutations in the PARK9 gene. “When I read about this study, I wondered what the closest yeast gene was to the human PARK9 gene and it turned out to be YOR291W,” explains Gitler. “It was one of the genes that could rescue alpha-synuclein toxicity from our yeast screen. That was the big Eureka! and completely unexpected. It suggested that Parkinson’s disease genes could interact with each other in previously unexpected ways.”

Because of its similarity to the human PARK9 gene, Gitler and colleagues renamed the yeast gene to YPK9 (which stands for Yeast PARK9). Researchers at Purdue University and The University of Alabama teamed up with Gitler and his colleagues to show that the PARK9 gene could also protect neurons from alpha-synuclein’s toxic effects.

Next, the team set out to find the function of YPK9. Study co-first author, postdoctoral fellow Alessandra Chesi, PhD, discovered that YPK9 encodes a metal transporter protein. “Its sequence looks like other proteins that we know transport metals,” says Chesi.

She deleted the YPK9 gene from yeast and the cells were fine. Then she exposed YPK9-deficient yeast cells to an excess of different metals — zinc, copper, manganese, iron, etc. — to determine which metal it might transport. Of all the metals Chesi tested, she found that in the presence of manganese, the YPK9-deficient yeast did not grow as well. They were hypersensitive to manganese.

“This was astonishing, because it was known for years that welders and miners that inhale manganese get a Parkinson’s-like disease called manganese poisoning,” says Chesi. “The specific neurons that are lost in the miners are from the globus pallidus, a brain motor center. The European parkinsonism patients with the PARK9 mutation also lose neurons in this region.”

Gitler then found that the protein made by YPK9, the yeast gene equivalent of PARK9, is localized to the vacuole membrane in the yeast cell. Vacuoles are inner cell components that wall off toxic substances for later disposal. “Our hypothesis is that the vacuole, a bag in the cell that captures toxins, is sitting there and taking in manganese and sequestering it for detoxification, keeping it away from other cell organelles,” explains Gitler. “But, having a mutation in the PARK9 gene causes problems for this process in yeast and possibly in humans”.

“It’s an interesting story that we’ve discovered in yeast and it will be important to see if it holds up in people. What’s new is the connection between genetic and environmental causes of Parkinson’s. How does PARK9 protect against alpha-synuclein toxicity and how does PARK9 help prevent manganese poisoning? This is what we will be investigating next.”
